I studied art at UCLA, majoring in art, but eventually getting a degree in Child Development.  I didn’t really start oil painting until my family moved to Sanpete from Redlands, California in 2005.

I love the historic old buildings, the more crumbled, the more fascinating subjects for my brush.  With the talent God gave me, encouragement from my husband, Butch, and classes from Marie Lindahl, I began painting as a hobby.  Fairview Mill is my favorite subject.  I have painted it a dozen times, from four different views.  I also enjoy painting florals and portraits.  My other passion is gardening, which also inspires my floral paintings.
